How long should clients expect to hold the Blackfinch Spring Venture Capital Trust (VCT)?

The Blackfinch Spring VCT is designed as a long-term investment. To retain the available upfront Income Tax relief, investors must hold their shares for at least five years from the date they are issued. Selling shares before this period ends will normally result in the relief being repaid to HMRC.

Investors wishing to sell their shares may be able to do so through the VCT's share buyback facility or on the secondary market. However, share buybacks are at the Board's discretion and secondary market demand is typically limited.

Please refer to the Blackfinch Spring VCT Prospectus for full details of the share buyback policy and liquidity arrangements.
