What happens if the Blackfinch Spring Venture Capital Trust (VCT) is unable to offer dividends or buybacks to investors?

Both dividends and share buybacks are at the discretion of the Board and are subject to appropriate reserves being available within the VCT. There is no guarantee that either will be offered.

If the VCT does not offer a share buyback when you wish to sell your shares, you may be able to sell them on the secondary market. However, there is typically limited secondary market activity for VCT shares. Even if a buyer can be found, shares are often sold at a price below the VCT's net asset value (NAV) as seconday sales of VCT shares are not eligible for upfront Income Tax relief.

The VCT may offer a share buyback at a later date, although there is no guarantee that this will occur.
